Well, another one bites the dust, this time Rex Tillerson. Lots of people have seen this coming for months, particularly since the embarrassing publicity about the “moron” comment, and probably the main reason that it took so long was that Trump didn’t want to give the mainstream media credit for being accurate versus “fake news” months ago! Tillerson was probably not a good choice for Secretary of State to begin with, but at least his tenure was apparently scandal free, although the State Department has reportedly been hollowed out due to the loss of many career diplomats, with significant negative short-term and possibly long-term ramifications. That is more than can be said about so many of Trump’s other current and former cabinet members, who have been mired in overspending or other scandals and/or performing poorly. And of course it is only after widespread negative publicity of these issues that anyone gets the ax, because in Trumpworld, public perception is nearly ALL that matters (unless you privately really piss off the boss)!! After all, this is really just more reality TV for Trump. We already know that more heads are going to roll, despite Trump’s narcissistic lies that he only hires the best people, that his cabinet was the best and smartest in history, blah blah blah. This will inevitably result in more chaos for the most dysfunctional administration in modern history. We can only hope that this disorganization will help minimize and delay the damage that Trump and his minions can do, although that is somewhat doubtful, and the chaos itself can obviously be destructive. Meanwhile, we are all waiting and holding our breath for the blue wave hopefully coming in November. I wonder who Trump will blame for losing the House of Representatives? Certainly not himself! Probably just all bad GOP candidates who did not align themselves closely enough with him! I am also holding my breath waiting for obstruction of justice charges from Mueller, if he ever gets to interview Trump and doesn’t get fired!
