Due to a very distant trip abroad, I am taking another break from blogging, for about a month. Although things in Trumpworld keep puttering along with no great surprises, we still may be on the verge of submission of the Mueller report to the AG, and it is now apparent that before congress or anyone else gets to see it, the White House will get a preemptive crack at suppressing anything they can on the argument of executive privilege (obviously only possible for events after the inauguration), as well as formulating a rebuttal ! That could be tied up in the courts indefinitely, as could House attempts to subpoena Mueller and others to discover any suppressed portions of the report. In short, we need to really rein in our expectations about what we will learn and when we will learn it, and we may be in for major disappointments. One remaining big question is whether there will be any more indictments from Mueller before the investigation is ended. I will be trying to follow major developments from a distance.
