Will Russia Try To Help The Democrats Win In 2018?

If I were Putin, how would I try to influence the 2018 midterm elections to inflict maximum damage to and paralysis of the US federal government? I think the answer is to help the Democrats take back control of one or both houses of Congress! If, as I predict, there are charges of obstruction of justice against Trump before the election, a Democrat controlled House would most likely begin the impeachment process, which would substantially paralyze the government for some time. At the very least, a Democrat controlled House or Senate could effectively block all of Trump’s future legislative efforts. I never thought I would agree with the goals of Russian meddling in our elections, and of course I still vehemently oppose it, but in this case I wholeheartedly support the same goal if that were it (see website title!). And what poetic justice that would be for Trump after 2016, with his continued refusal to acknowledge Russia's meddling or to impose congressionally mandated punitive sanctions!
