Only the Best People...LOL

So we are now in the middle of another ugly (but entertaining) he-said-she-said mudslinging contest, this time between the mudslinger-in-chief and fired White House advisor, former reality show contestant and now tell-all book author Omarosa Manigault Newman. Talk about birds of a feather! And what about candidate Trump’s constant campaign promises to hire only the very best people to serve in his administration? What a load of BS!! Just one more body on the growing pile of disastrous administration officials past and present!  Although he lavished praise on her at many events during the campaign, Trump has now predictably turned on her and savages her in his tweets as vicious, not smart, nasty, a loser, a slacker and a dog(!), and called her a lowlife on camera. By all accounts, she apparently was a bad actor (figuratively at least) and was fired for multiple unspecified serious integrity issues. The most striking and revealing element of his tweets, however, is that he makes it clear that he still wanted her around, over the objections of his advisers, because she "only said GREAT things" about him!! And it was Trump who insisted on hiring her for a high-level WH position over the objections of everyone else involved, who justifiably considered her unqualified and unsuitable. The optics of having a token black woman in a high West Wing position likely also played into the equation.  So, for the maximum of about $180,000 per year of our taxpayer's money, Trump hired and kept around someone who he must have known from his long association with her was unqualified and even possibly dangerous, solely for the purposes of flattering him and spreading his propaganda!! How profoundly disturbing is that as an indication of who Trump is and who he wants around him and gets along with, Including within his own administration and internationally!! AND if that were not enough, after being fired for such serious infractions, whatever they were, we know that she was offered (but declined) an equivalent salary by the Trump reelection campaign if she kept her mouth shut about what happened in the White House!! Is something like that even legal? In any previous administration, this would all be unthinkable and absolutely scandalous, but in this case it’s just predictable and more of the same! The danger for the country is in letting ANY of this and Trump’s other constant outrageous behavior become normalized!
